My husband and I met the Clendaniel family when we became apart of River Church. We joined a small community group and now have so many wonderful friends, like the Clendaniel family. They are one of those families that you look at and think that is exactly how I want to raise my children. I am so blessed to have so many people, like the Clendaniels, in my life!

Saylor May’s 1st Year Album…

Once again I am shocked at how quickly a year went by and Miss Saylor May is already one year old! Andrea started her baby package with her pregnancy session. I photographed Saylor at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months old. My favorite session was her 9 month at the horse farm! She just loved the horses and was finally smiling for me!

Cruz is 9 months old!!

Cruz, a Carmen Ash Photography regular, is a little ham in front of the camera now and with a face like that, he should be! First, let me start by saying as a new mom I am quickly learning what might be a good idea in my head, may be a disaster once tried. Ashleigh and I thought giving Cruz a oversized lolly pop would make for some fun images. They did make great images, except for the fact that we did them first. Not sure what our thought process was when we decided to give a 9 month old a lolly pop for the first time and then expect him to just hand it right over, so dumb. The second realization was that he was now covered in sticky candy and it was only 15 minutes into the shoot! However this led to some even cuter images…

Nicolas’ Six Month Session…

This sweet boy is 6 months old and currently lives in Mt. Pleasant, which is also where we took these images. His parents are here from Spain on a two year work stay and will be going back soon. They found out about us while shopping in Sugar Snap Pea, downtown King Street.

I have found that 6 months is a fun age for the babies personality, however I find it tricky to photograph sometimes. They are at an age where the baby is not always able to sit up completely on his own and sometimes isn’t crawling yet either. On the other hand, they have discovered their personality and are still easily entertained!!! That’s why I love doing a “Baby’s First Year” package. I get to photograph the baby four times in the first year. You can split it up however you like: Pregnancy, Newborn, Six Month & One Year, or Newborn, Four Month, Eight Month, One Year.

I photographed the Prenner family at their home in West Ashley, South Carolina. These two cuties were a little unsure of me at first, but after only 10 minutes they were showing me their toys and introducing me to their dog! I love the fact that they were taken in their front and back yard. I love looking back at pictures of me, as a child, and seeing the house that I grew up in!

Welcome to the world Mr. Kyan Wells Garris! Born on February 9, 2011 in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. This little cutie was welcomed at 9:22 p.m. by Nikki and Ted Garris. Weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. He was born only 5 days after my son, Miles! It has been so amazing to watch the two of them grow and see how similar they are…even in their looks!
