So I have a new found appreciation for newborn photography and parents!  Our business is about 80% wedding photography, so when Miles was born, I immediately thought I am going to have my own little model!!  The poor kid!!  About three days after he was born, I decided it was time to figure out how to mold and position babies like the talented Anne Geddes….well on a smaller scale of course.  First off, it was almost impossible to photograph him by myself.  I was the only person that was able to lay on him and calm him down, but then I was also the only one to take the picture!  I would get him perfectly molded and all curled up, I would back away to get the picture and he would be a mess again!!  It is funny, because the one thing I tell all my nursing mothers is you can not get near the baby, if possible, during the session.  They can smell their moms and want to eat!!  With not much success, I called in the help of close friend Erin, with Erin Sage Photography.  With her help, we were much more successful!  It’s all about trial and error, right.  I figure, by baby number three, we will be pros!!
